MRPC improves speed, capability with new technology

Home > News
MRPC, a medical device component manufacturer based in Butler, has added two new presses for plastic and silicone molding to its facility. The investment is one of several million dollars in recent improvements to the production space.

The equipment, along with MoldFlow software that will allow for more advanced design techniques, will expand production capabilities and allow for a more accurate and speedy design process.

A 250-ton Toshiba electric molding machine will make MRPC’s molding process cleaner and more precise. A vertical injection/transfer molding machine provides more capacity for silicone and rubber manufacturing, to meet growing demand.

And a MoldFlow Insight 360 machine allows MRPC to conduct molding simulation on site, increasing the efficiency of the design process for thermoplastic and silicone parts. The MoldFlow can help determine manufacturing success before tooling is manufactured. The machine will increase the speed of getting products to market and lower customer cost.

“Our aggressive growth strategy has provided us an opportunity to expand our offerings to the medical device marketplace,” said Mark Brandstaetter, vice president of sales. “We will continue to invest in the resources required to allow us to stay at the forefront of our industry by creating value for our existing and prospective customers.”
